Hello, I am Olivia
I am a project manager. A parent. An expat living in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Netherlands wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many expat journeys, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The opening months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday chores felt more burdensome than they should have.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Built TadysYagacAfew
Most information online was either corporate-relocation guidance or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was honest, day-to-day family perspective.
The site aims to fill that void with practical advice drawn from real-life experiences in Netherlands.
